Mellbye Architects asked Gilles & Cecilie Studio to create a typographic wall for the lounge area in the Savoy Hotel in Oslo. The text is inspired by a Radiohead song called Fitter, Happier, from OK! Computer. The typography is a combination of handwriting painted directly on the wall using waterbased paint and cut out lettering standing from the wall.
3 friends are having a discussion about new year resolutions. The handwriting symbolise the various personalities. The use of colours, depth and repetitions shows hierarchy in the conversation and the importance of changes they want to do in their life.
