Field Trip is an ongoing personal project that will culminate in a publication. It is an illustrated travel journal.
Modern Brutalist: Visiting the wonderful city Marseille. Ink drawings from Le Corbusier Cite Radieuse and drawing topless ladies on the beach with colour pencils.
Cite Radieuse was developed by Le Corbusier and was built between 1947 and 1952. The building houses flats, hotel, restaurant, galleries, studios for architects and designers and much more. It's built on pillars and has a fantastic roof top terrace that in the summer screen old movies at night time. A great place to sleep while staying in Marseille.
Another option for sleep-over is the small, but wonderful Hotel Petit Nice-Passedat, located close to Anse Maldormé (you can walk down to this little beach barefoot in bikini) . The hotel is an old villa at the sea front with of course amazing view of the Mediterranean.
